A few months ago, I posted my ‘thesis’ which discusses a painting series which I am studying for. If you would like to read about that, please ‘click here‘.

In lui of that, I have started a ‘pre-series’ to get warmed up for my ‘thesis’ in which I am titling the “Souvenir Series” all in mixed media; acrylic paint, wood, paper and other materials. My idea is to create paintings for friends and family around the United States. Each piece has variables that contain something that defines the state in which that person lives.

Today, Amanda Van Ast and Drew Fifer received the first piece of this series. They live in Austin so they get the ‘Texas Souvenir’. I am very excited to have finished and been able to ship this first piece of the series.
