Home Internet Access
I am here. Although I feel like I am in two places at once. One place being in my new home, the other in this weird internet place. I find myself in two places at once often. In a few weeks, Halimah and I will be flying to somewhere else, where I will be in one place only. I look forward to that.
My new blog (sicksorenson/blog) had an ordeal I documented with Comcast. I pretty much bashed my experience with them transferring my internet service from the daunting studio (with no a/c) to our new abode (the wonderfully hidden cottage). I am not going to revisit my horrible experience with them, but provide a useful tip for setting up Verizon broadband.
I bought the cheapest modem they offered, and when installing had some problems setting up and getting connection. So I hit it. Yep, I hit it like it was already broken. To my amazement, I am here … or there, letting you know what to do if you run into this problem.
And now after canceling with Comcast and receiving a $75 incentive to switch to Verizon because of it, Comcast owes me $2.32 credit. It’s cool though, they can keep it.
